FMS 200
The Digifly FMS 200 is a new artificial horizon with solid state ultra fast gyroscopic sensors, immune from radio interference, easy to employ and to manage. These are only some of the innovative characteristics of the FMS 200.
The FMS 200 is electronic instrumentation similar to those used for General Aviation with a colour display – visible in all light conditions and from all angles. The instrumentation is completely new: the artificial horizon has a completely new sensor, equipped with three of latest generation ultra fast electronic gyroscopes (measuring 20 readings /second). It is mounted directly inside the unit, which makes it very fast at displaying instantaneous readings of the movements of the aircraft.
It has an extremely easy-to-read graphical representations of roll, pitch, GPS heading, slip, G-meter (on the three axis), 3 altimeters, variometer and anemometer, all represented in a single clear display screen.
For motor instrumentation, there is a new fuel display. It calculates the necessary information to fly the route. It is possible to use all the pre-installed probes of the motor; the Digifly system can be connected in parallel to the traditional instruments and a high level of shielding protects the instrumentation from radio interferences.
Another revolutionary innovation is the facility to manage your flight data at home. You can visualise in 3D your flights, examine flight data, load and download flights and all other software operations at home.
In particular, the FMS 200 uniquely has 2 removable USB key drives. Flights can be logged directly in IGC format on to the first USB key drive and removed to connect to a PC for later analysis. The second USB key drive can be used to upload up to 10 different navigation maps. Having uploaded all necessary data it is possible to view the landing field (photo) on approach. The routes and IGC Logger are compatible with all the major route visualization and management programs (e.g. CompeGPS, Leisures Explorer and Avioportolano).
Each student-pilot can have their own USB key drive in order to monitor each phase of their training. This allows for better post flight debriefings but also allows the instructor to monitor how the aircraft is used.
The strength of the FMS 200 system is the screen!
The FMS 200 display has 30% more information than it’s predecessor while still maintaining the same standard dimensions of 6.25″. The brightness and wide viewing angles allow excellent usability, while weight and energy requirements are still kept to a minimum. On a single screen you can view all required flight data from three different display modes. However, it is also possible to mount three separate screens to make all data screens available simultaneously.

Moving Map Display
Through the acquisition of GPS data, the FMS 200 Moving Map GPS display provides a detailed electronic map, with the ability to set destinations, to zoom in on interesting areas, to record flight track to display navigation data calculated on the current destination (in the form of distance, direction, ETA, etc.). Alternatively, it is possible to view the map in full screen mode. This unit integrates several new functions, such as autopilot interface management.
- Real time GPS data.
- Autopilot function.
- CMAP vectorial mapping function.
- Multi scale zoom.
- Aeronautical, road and land marks.
- Jeppesen database.
- 200 user way points.

Hardware required to utilise the GPS moving map:
You must have a FMS 200 view-finder and the optional GPS receiver.
EFIS Instrument Display (AIR DATA e AHRS)
A single button press allows the pilot to change from the Moving Map Screen to the EFIS instruments screen.
- Attitude indicator with a new high speed sensor (20 readings for 1 second).
- Roll indicator.
- Pitch indicator.
- Gyrocompass.
- Slip indicator.
- G-meter (with acceleration indication on three axis).
- 3 Altimeters.
- Variometer.
- Anemometer
Hardware required utilize the EFIS screen (AIR DATA e AHRS):
You must have the optional FMS BOX 16 or FMS BOX 32.
Screen for Engine Instruments (EIS)
This screen shows all engine and fuel functions. Simple, easy to read graphics – which look like a traditional survey system – allows the pilot to check all engine data at a glance. The data from the EIS display mode is always recorded along with other flight data information on the USB key drive.
- Tachometer.
- Timer.
- EGT.
- Carburetor temperature / airbox.
- TIT.
- Oil temperature.
- Oil pressure.
- MAP 1.
- MAP 2.
- FADEC interface.
- Rotor RPM.
- Fuel flow.
- Fuel level.
- Fuel pressure.
- Fuel consumed.
- Cylinder head temperature.
- Exhaust gas temperature.
- Turbine inlet temperature.
- Volts.
- Outside air temperature.
- Manifold pressure (dual).
- Compatibility with the most widespread probes already installed in your engine.
- Possibility of parallel connection with instruments already installed.
Hardware required to utilise the EIS screen:
You must have the optional FMS BOX 16 or FMS BOX 32.
This is the sensor unit that allows you to process all flight (AIR DATA), attitude (AHRS) and engine (EIS) data.
Two microprocessors manage the FMS BOX: they receive all data, process and calibrate it and then send the data to the base FMS 200 unit. The system uses high quality, reliable solid state sensors and micro-machined sensors to record all flight data.
The FMS BOX assures the best stability and reliability in time and high accuracy in indication because it doesn’t use movable mechanical parts.
- New high-speed sensor for attitude indicator (20 readings for 1 second).
- New fuel computer, with estimate of required range (fuel distance) to complete air-route (line).
- Very simple and fast installing system.
- Two different versions for FMS BOX 16 and FMS BOX 32.
Technical Specifications:
- Light weight aluminium box with extractable connectors.
- Power: 11-14 V.
