Digifly announce the release of the new Leonardo Plus flight instrument. A low-cost combined GPS-vario for non-competition hang glider and paraglider pilots. The Leonardo Plus has all the safety and flight evaluation benefits of a combined GPS-vario, but the Leonardo Plus software is not supplied with the competition waypoint-task management option required for competition use. If you need this functionallity in the future, the Leonardo Plus can be upgraded to have the full functionality of the Leonardo Pro model, simply from your PC, just buying from Digifly over the internet the upgrade software package.

With the new VLTools Vario Configurator Software and a Digifly USB (or serial) cable, you can now setup and configure your vario right from your PC!
You can now even fully customize the acoustic profile of your vario! Make sure that you update your vario to the latest firmware version first.
We have released firmware updates across the Digifly range, including some of our older models.
Firmware updates for the Flyer 2, Newton, Archimede, Archimede Plus (62.4) allow for better control of the autostart flight recorder.
Firmware updates for the Cartesio 2, Leonardo, Leonardo Lithium, Cartesio Plus, Cartesio Pro BT, Leonardo Pro and Leonardo Pro BT (63.6) allow:
- Adjustment of vario tone profile.
- Improved route and waypoint management.
- Improved time zone offset compatibility.
- Improved auto start flight recorder function.
- New fully automatic wind speed and wind direction calculation & display.
- Flight data logging of both Barometric Altitude A1 and GPS Altitude.
- Addition of a new data field "Notes" in the Competition Waypoint (32 chars max), editable using your PC and the VLtools Configurator Software.
